Zoopla named a home in Stornoway’s Balmerino Drive as the most expensive in Scotland, accidentally setting its value to £14 million.

The owners of the property at 11 Balmerino Drive, Stornoway HS1 2TD were happily surprised to read that their property was valued at just over £14 million on Zoopla and listed as the “most expensive in Scotland” on the “second richest street” in the country.

Zoopla also listed the property as a “10-bed houseboat,” stating “Balmerino Drive has 32 houses and flats on it with a average current value of £1,876,297, compared to an average property value of £148,800 for HS1 (the Stornoway postcode).”

The owners of the property, however, knew the error was too good to be true and reported it to Zoopla.

Zoopla blamed a technical glitch for the error and has since removed the incorrect value.
