{"id":247,"date":"2015-05-10T20:12:59","date_gmt":"2015-05-10T20:12:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.oddballnews.com\/?p=247"},"modified":"2022-10-25T17:25:09","modified_gmt":"2022-10-25T17:25:09","slug":"woman-fined-after-council-moves-her-car-onto-double-yellow-lines","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.oddballnews.com\/woman-fined-after-council-moves-her-car-onto-double-yellow-lines\/","title":{"rendered":"Woman Fined After Council Moves Her Car Onto Double Yellow Lines"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A woman in Manchester, England received a parking ticket after her local council lifted her car up and moved it to an area with a parking restriction.<\/p>\n<p>The motorist, Clair Morris, insisted that she had parked her sports car legally outside of her home in West Didsbury in Manchester.<\/p>\n<p>The council needed to do some work on the road, however, and moved Morris\u2019s car across the way to an area with double yellow lines, which is a clear parking violation.<\/p>\n<p>When Morris found her car in a different space, she noticed the parking ticket from the council, alongside the notice that they also moved her car to that space.<\/p>\n<p>Manchester City Council have since apologised for the mistake and have cancelled Morris\u2019s ticket.
