A sheepdog by the name of “Don” leaned on the controls of a tractor, which crashed through a fence and then proceeded to go onto the busy M74 in South Lanarkshire in Scotland.
The owner of the dog, Tom Hamilton, reported that he was busy tending to a lamb at the time and had not put on the tractor break.
He reported to ITV: “I was out in the mini-tractor and had stepped out of it to get a lamb, which looked like it was about to get out of the gate. I had not put the brake on the tractor and when I turned round I got a fright as the vehicle was careering down the hill, through a gate and on to the M74.”
Before Tom knew it, he noticed that Don and the tractor had taken off down the hill and straight through onto the motorway.
The tractor eventually crashed to a halt in the central reservation and, thankfully, there were no reported injuries – including Don the sheepdog who came out unscathed.
