Man Holds Doughnut Shop At Gunpoint For A Maple Bar

A man in Seattle threatened employees with a gun at a local doughnut shop on Aurora Avenue in an effort to steal just a single Maple Bar.

A patron of the shop reported that the suspect had been asked to leave the shop before reaching to his waist with the implication that he had a gun, declaring, “This is a robbery”. He then ordered everyone to go to the back of the store.

When police examined the surveillance video later on, however, they uncovered that the suspect pilfered only a single Maple Bar.

Police found and arrested the suspect at a nearby bus stop and took him to King County Jail for investigation of the doughnut robbery.

The Seattle Police Department best sum up the event in a single tweet: “Police arrest sticky-fingered suspect after doughnut shop robbery”.
