String Quartet Performs During M5 Traffic Jam

A string quartet travelling home after playing a gig at a wedding, decided to play an impromptu concert on the M5 during a major traffic jam.

The M5 was closed in both directions after a horse box broke down and traffic came to a complete standstill.

Musicians coming from a wedding gig in Devon decided it might be fun to perform for the stranded drivers around them, so got their instruments out and played Pachelbel’s Canon along the side of the road.

When they started playing, a large crowd gathered around them and the performance was captured by Helen Delingpole who posted a video to Facebook:
