Dog Crashes Truck Into Swimming Pool

In North Carolina in the US, a black lab crashed a 1988 Dodge Ram into a swimming pool.

Michael & Ruth Smith were taking a drive to their local supermarket with their dog, Caroline, when something spooked the dog and she dove to the floorboard of the truck, leaning on the gas pedal.

Michael explained to WRAL, “When she gets scared she will go down on the floorboard of the truck”.

Michael & Ruth desperately tried to remove Caroline from the floor, as the truck sped up to 50 or 55 miles per hour, but the 90 pound dog would not budge. The car crash then crashed through a fence and ultimately went into a private swimming pool.

Luckily, the owners of the pool were inside at the time and there were no serious injuries other than a few cuts on Michael’s hand.
