A man in Changsha, China secretly had 17 girlfriends, but was exposed when his lovers all visited all him in the hospital.
The man, Yuan, was taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries after a car accident and doctors invited who they believed to be family members to visit him.
The people who turned up, however, were 17 different women between the ages of 20 and 40 who all claimed to be Yuan’s wife or girlfriend. None of the women were aware that Yuan had other lovers until the incident when they exchanged ‘love stories’ about Yuan.
Many of the women even stated that they had been giving Yuan money and supporting him for at least 10 years.
It turns out that in addition to his sham relationships, Yuan also fabricated his education in order to get a career at a big company in charge of revamping expressways. He had said he went to a big university, when in reality, he had only completed middle school.
It doesn’t get much better for Yuan, as he is currently being sued for fraud, after he swindled over 250,000 yuan from his ex-wife.
It is uncertain how many girlfriends he actually has left after this incident.
